Who are we?
As a listener supported station 105.3WayFM will always value its listeners – our listeners provide a significant source of our income. As a community broadcaster we cannot change our focus. We are licensed as a Christian station. If we were a commercial station, nothing would prevent us from changing our direction if financial pressure was brought to bear.
You won’t be bombarded with too many advertisements, or sponsorship announcements, on 105.3WayFM. By law you will never hear more than 5 minutes per hour. Most commercial stations play over 12 minutes of ads every hour.
Giving to 105.3WayFM makes many listeners feel involved. It’s their way of sharing their partnership with us.
How can you help?
As a WayFM Partner, you can pledge a nominated set amount to 105.3WayFM. We will automatically deduct your pledge each month from your nominated account and at the end of each financial year send you a receipt for claiming on your tax return.
Paying your pledge in smaller monthly instalments means we are less of a burden on your finances. And the regular income enables us to budget more effectively.

Koorong is a company that began over 40 years ago at the Bootes family residence in Koorong Street, near Macquarie University in Sydney. As well as a street name, Koorong is also an Indigenous term for “watering hole” or “oasis”, which is a good metaphor for what we do. We provide a wide range of Christian resources, at great prices, to help people in their walk with Jesus Christ. All proceeds support Bible Society Australia as it undertakes Bible translation, Bible distribution and Bible engagement both here in Australia and around the world.
Owned by Bible Society Australia since July 2015, Koorong operates online and in 15 stores across Australia. Our West Ryde (Sydney) store opened in 1978 and moved to its current location in 1995. Our Blackburn (Melbourne) store opened in 1979, our Brisbane store in 1986, Perth in 1990, our chain of country NSW stores (Armidale and Port Macquarie) opened in 1993, Adelaide in 1998, Toowoomba in 2000, Penrith in 2002, and Hobart and Canberra in 2003. In 2004 we moved two of our existing stores (Hobart and Perth) to bigger and better premises in order to serve our customers in those areas. In 2005, we welcomed on board the Launceston and Mooloolaba stores as well as Newcastle. In 2008 we opened our Springwood store.
From the beginning, Koorong has remained committed to spreading God’s Word and building up the body of Christ by providing an extensive range of Christian books, Bibles, music, DVDs, gifts and more at the lowest prices. We are excited to be sharing with you in the important ministry of providing quality Christian resources that offer guidance and encouragement to the Church, and introduce others to the good news of Jesus Christ.
