A Day in the Park – A Night of One-Act Plays

October 2 @ 6:00 pm

Launceston’s newest Theatre Production company, Star Rae Productions, is proud to announce its first independently produced theatre show, A Day in the Park, featuring some of Launceston’s new and emerging talent.

A Day in the Park is not your classic night of one-act plays, but rather a combination of four independent, and mostly Australian, stories all revolving around a park bench.

The four one-act plays consist of Please Don’t Feed The Ducks (a stage adaptation of a short comic film by Tim Goodwin & Pearce Hoskinson, Hired Goons, Australia), The Bench (a comedy by Mark Langham, Australia), A Tale of Two Spectators (a comedy by Peter Manos, USA), and Mr Owen’s Providence (a comedy by Gavin Critchley, Australia). Original music has been composed by John Da Cruz.

Co-Directed by Racheal Leigh and Kevin Vong, the production features a small cast and crew of new and emerging Launceston talent including Amanda Sutherland, Ashley Eyles, Caroline Badcock, Callum Westwood and Alexandria Purchase.

Tickets are on sale now! Tickets are currently $40 for adults or $30 concession; however the $30 pricing also applies for group bookings of 5 or more. Tickets can be booked via the Theatre North website (https://theatrenorth.com.au/a-day-in-the-park) or by calling Theatre North on 03 6331 0052.
