The Branch Christian Church
The Branch is part of the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches (FIEC) and we are also connected with Vision 100, a leadership training and church planting network within Tasmania. We also appreciate and support the work of groups like Geneva Push and The Gospel Coalition Australia.
Karl Deenick is our Senior Pastor. He is our main Bible teacher. He preaches most Sundays and is also involved in training, discipling, leadership and overseeing the teaching program of the church. His role is to help us grow to be a community of people who know God, glorify God in everything we do, and who are on mission for God to make Jesus known.
Steve Nicholson is our Assistant Pastor. He’s responsible for membership and ministry training. His role is to help us grow to be a loving community where people belong and care for each other, and to help equip us to serve as Jesus served.
What We Believe
At the Branch Christian Church, we believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and that it is the final authority on everything to do with faith and life. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. We also believe that roughly 2000 years ago God sent him to earth to live a perfect life and to die on a cross, cursed by God. Three days later he rose from the dead, proving that he was who he said he was and proving that he defeated death so that everyone who trusts in him will be rescued from the punishment they deserve due to their rebellion against God and one day be raised to everlasting life. We try to tell everyone this good news so that through faith in Jesus we can all have hope for the future.
