Vicki caught up with John Stuart, the CEO or boss, of the Launceston Benevolent Society recently! The society offer practical help to people in need, and for example, offer food vouchers, emergency support, groceries, clothing and financial counseling.

Some of the things the Benevolent Society provides includes white goods, and currently they have a stack of furniture to give away!  For those who are in need, items are provided free of any cost and that includes delivery!  The society handed out a staggering 1391 grocery hampers last year!

Cash donations are very welcome or look out for their can can drives, if you can help! The society is open 9am to 12pm weekdays and they located at 5 Innocent street, Kings meadows, they can be contacted on 6344 4231, email address is beneloventsociety@bigpond.com and the website is http://www.lbs.org.au/
